This item looks at the result of the EU Referendum. We are used to seeing positive stories about Erasmus+ funded projects featured in the media, but following the vote to leave the EU, the programme itself has been in the spotlight. Erasmus+ has become part of the debate in terms of what happens from now on. As an EU-funded programme it will also be part of the discussion to be taken up by UK government with the EU in the future. What we do know, following the announcement from the Minister of State for Universities and Science, Jo Johnson, is that organisations should continue to deliver their current Erasmus+ projects.
Those organisations that have already submitted applications for funding in 2016, should be assured that these will be processed in the usual way, and that successful applicants will receive contracts and payments in due course.
